Originally established on the All Saints Road in 1997 by restaurateur Michael Lim, ULI was loved by all thanks to its fresh, honest approach to Asian cuisine. When it closed its doors in 2013, almost the entire neighbourhood mourned. One regular, Graham Rebak, was so upset he prised Michael out of retirement and opened a new site in Notting Hill. Almost two years to the day, the new ULI has achieved the heady heights of its predecessor. Offering a veritable oasis this summer is the restaurant’s huge terrace which is the perfect spot in which to indulge in some signature peppercorn salted prawns accompanied by a refreshing cocktail.
