Brief To help introduce the UK to the aims and achievements of the Hawn Foundation, the educational charity set up by iconic actress Goldie Hawn
Strategy Aside from publicising the Hawn Foundation’s UK arm, the agency has assisted with the charity’s annual fundraiser held at Annabel’s. Now a firm fixture on the London social calendar, it attracts a host of celebrities, while Duffy, The Feeling, Pixie Lott and Rebecca Ferguson are just some of those who have performed. Jori White PR introduced Lord Harry Dalmeny, Chairman of Sotheby’s, to the foundation. For the inaugural event in March 2012, he acted as auctioneer, and has been involved ever since. The agency uses its contacts to create money-can’t-buy auction items, such as a private dinner party cooked by Tom Parker Bowles and a behind-the-scenes tour of a Victoria’s Secret fashion show. A photograph of Battersea Power Station (pictured above), shot by photographer Adrian Houston and signed by Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason, sold for £16,000 alone
Results The five events have raised over £2 million and Jori White PR has succeeded in maintaining media interest in The Hawn Foundation since it launched in the UK. The charity’s MindUP™ programme is now in schools across the nation
